Education, not diagnosis
The tools and information on Dental Health Time are for general education and planning. They are not medical or dental advice, diagnosis or treatment, and using them doesn't create a dentist–patient or doctor–patient relationship.
Typical isn't the same as you
Our tools apply published averages and guidelines. Your body, your procedure and your medical history may differ. Always follow the instructions your own dentist, surgeon, orthodontist, pediatrician or pharmacist gives you. Where their advice differs from a tool, follow their advice.
Medicines
Any information about medicines (pain relievers, fluoride, local anesthetics) summarizes published guidance and labels. Follow the label and ask a pharmacist, doctor or dentist before taking or giving any medicine, especially to a child, during pregnancy, or if you take other medicines.
Costs and insurance
Cost and insurance tools give estimates from the numbers you enter. Your insurer's decision and your dentist's fees are what count. Ask for a written pre-treatment estimate.
