About Dental Health Time

Free, private dental tools that answer real questions: what's normal after surgery, when teeth come in, what insurance will pay, and whether something is urgent.

What we do

Dental Health Time is an independent website of free dental and oral-health tools. Each tool does one job well:

  • tracking recovery after a tooth extraction
  • showing which baby teeth are due
  • working out what your dental insurance will actually pay
  • checking whether a dental problem needs a dentist today

We used to publish articles. In 2026 we replaced them with tools, because a tool can give your answer: for your date, your child's age, your plan. A general article can't.

How we build tools

  • Published guidance first. Numbers come from professional bodies (ADA, AAPD, AAP, AAO, CDC, FDA, NHS, WHO) and peer-reviewed research. Every tool page lists its sources.
  • Ranges, not false precision. Where sources disagree, we show the range and say so.
  • Tested. Every calculator has automated tests that check its results against the published values.
  • Safety first. Symptom and recovery tools always show the warning signs that need urgent care.

Private by design

Tools run in your browser. What you type isn't sent to us. Anything you save to My Smile stays on your device. There are no accounts and no analytics. Most pages show ads from an advertising partner, which may use cookies; we never pass it what you type or save. See our privacy policy.

What we are not

We're not a dental practice and we don't diagnose. Our tools help you understand, plan and prepare, and they work best alongside your dentist. In an emergency, call 911.
